Wingspan: 38mm - 45mm

Imago: Bivoltine, a species that is usually found in northern and eastern France where it can be found in open woodland, on fallow land and in urban areas where its food plant can be found.  It is attracted to light.

Larva: Monophagous, feeding on various species of Berberis, including barberry (B.vulgaris)

Overwinter: As a pupa
