Wingspan: 19mm - 22mm

Imago: Univoltine, a locally common species that actively flies in sunshine, it can be found visiting the flowers of buttercup, daisy, dandelion and other meadow flowers.  It inhabits meadows, grassy embankments, sea cliffs and open woodland clearings.

Larva: Monophagous, feeding on the seed capsules of common mouse ear (Cerastium holosteoides)

Overwinter: As a pupa
